About Developer Programs

Frequently Asked Questions about the Developer Program

Q: Can I participate more than once? A: Yes. You can submit a new project every month and compete again, even if you’ve won before.

Q: Do I need to submit a video demo? A: No, it's not mandatory, but strongly recommended. Submissions with clear video walkthroughs are more likely to be selected as Top 5.

Q: Who can vote for the Community Favourite? A: Every member in the #developer-program-champions channel on Discord.

Q: Can I submit multiple projects per month? A: There's no restriction on the number of submissions, but only your best submission will be considered for the reward each month. We strongly encourage you to focus on one project per cohort, as rewards are based on the overall quality of a project.

Q: Will rewards or criteria change over time? A: Maybe. This program is currently in BETA. We are constantly iterating requirements, timelines, and rewards based on participant feedback and program performance, aiming to stabilize the funnel towards the mainnet launch.

Q: I don’t have 10 commits on my account. Can I still get whitelisted for the Developer Program? A: No. We require participants to be real developers. If your account has fewer than 10 commits, it is not considered a valid developer profile.

Q: I can’t hold 0.1 ETH (or 250 USDC) in my wallet due to financial difficulties. Can I still get whitelisted for the Developer Program? A: Yes, it is possible if you can provide proof of your developer experience. Please send your CV, project links, and code samples, along with a short motivation letter, to marketing[at]zama.ai.

Q: What is the Developer Program Fast Track? A: The Developer Program Fast Track is an exclusive tier designed for professional teams who have already built or are currently building functional applications using the Zama Protocol. To join or learn more, please contact marketing[at]zama.ai.
